Oblong 7.5 x 9". Fold creases, splitting at folds, chipped at corners, missing small piece of one corner else good. Items purchased were axes and handles, brass trumpets, a brass lantern. Signed by Fire Commissioner Bonnoll, Chief Engineer John Dicker and Deputy Street Commissioner W.M. Freeman. Edward Bonnoll started as a fireman in 1846 at Clinton Engine 4, he later joined the Tompkins House and served as fire commissioner 1862-1865. He was so popular that when he died in 1885 hundreds of firefighters turned out to pay their respects. SCARCE document.
