The agency writes that they have received the client's letter with the papers to be served "on Palmer". The letter continues that "politics have been very high" due to the presidential election, mentions Breckenridge, Douglas & Lincoln. Also very excited with the local congressional election and "I have been at all the pole raisings maing stump speeches". J.A. Gunning and J.S. Blodget were Detroit police officers and "Deputy Sheriffs, Notaries Public, &C". Located at No. 2 Desnoyers Block, Jefferson Ave., Detroit. Very SCARCE Detroit police/detective memorabilia.
