Tie with the image of burlesque performer Lady Godiva (Frances DuBay) and her horse Melody Lady who was trained to disrobe her during her act

Maroon cloth, images of Lady Godiva and Melody Lady in cream and blue tones, the name "Lady Godiva" is in blue at the bottom. Unworn, mint except for small stain at the very bottom tip and the tip had been taped to it. On the back are pasted three ads (two are pictorial) about her appearance at Detroit's Gayety Burlesque Theatre. Also making an appearance is Ricci Cortez "The Sleepy-Time Gal". Taped to the bottom is a typewritten note dated February 2, 1954 from Louis Schlosser that Lady Godiva "presented this necktie and an autographed photo of herself" to him, unfortunately, the photograph no longer exists. Plus two 1962 newspaper clippings "Fire Denudes 'Lady Godiva'" where she lost about half of her clothing in a fire at the Armedos Supper Club in Lansing, Michigan and the other from Muskegon County, Michigan 1963 where the health officials were concerned about a horse performing in a tavern where food is sold. A total of four items, sold as a lot.
