Advertising mirror from the Port Huron business Ballentine's "Let The Ballentine Dry Goods Serve You!"

np (Port Huron), nd (early 20thc?). Hardcover. Very Good. Item #21-7279

Oval 2.75 x 1.75", front is black celluloid with the advertising on a white background, around the edge has a colorful gemstone for each month of the year. Mirror has staining (age wear) and numbers in black marker. Silas L. Ballantine, 1845-1902 opened the store in the 1860s, lasting almost 100 years, closing in 1961. Port Huron is not shown on the item but it came from a collection of Port Huron items. SCARCE.
