Illus., 7 x 4", rebound years ago in leather backed marbled boards with gilt royal coat-of-arms on covers, 24pp, covers quite rubbed, extremities bumped and chipping, just a hint of the leather spine still existing, inner hinges cracked, top right corner of title page ripped away, small part of next page missing, too, pp unevenly toned and spotted, some page tears and holes, ink writing (genealogical information?) on last page but still an interesting piece with neat illustrations in alphabet section; with neatly penned note on lined paper presenting this book to the former owners' granddaughter in 1895.
