The founding president of Johns Hopkins University, Daniel C. Gilman was an 1852 graduate of Yale and a member of Skull and Bones and Berzelian societies. He is still listed in this issue as a member of the Berzelian Society. Gilman was also instrumental in the founding of Johns Hopkins Hospital and Medical School. Very SCARCE Yale item.
