Photo has creasing, tears, attached to the reverse is a toned mimeo note which contains the aforementioned note plus the names of crew ie. 2nd Lt. William C. Johnson, pilot, of Lewis Chapel, Tenn., pencil marks over some of the names. The 448th Bomb Group stationed in Seething, Norfolk, took part in a heavy bombardment against the German aircraft industry February 20-24, 1944 and was called the "Big Week". COMES WITH: A group of 12 items, reprints of earlier publications, some dated 1991. Two different Seething Airfield Site Plans numbers 139 and 140; pamphlet "A Glimpse Of Christmas Past" (holiday at Seething); the rest are copies of maps/route maps, formation sheets, history of other bomb squadrons, plans of Seething Airfield and so on. One of the sheets mentions monthly film/talk evenings being held by Station 146 Tower Association. All 8.5 x 11" except for Site Plans 16.5 x 23" and pamphlet 11.5 x 8.25", light wear, good condition. A total of 13 items, sold as a lot only.
