Collection of eight items relating to Captain Charles Henry Anderson, senior captain for the Detroit Boblo Boats including his "Continuous Discharge Book", photos of him and a lithograph of the S.S. Columbia by his granddaughter, artist Janet M. Anderson

1) Photo, 6 x 9", black and white, of a Boblo boat wheelhouse, MacGregor & Company Detroit 1920s?, creasing, edge tears, lacks a corner, back is toned. 2) and 3) two vintage black and white photos, 11 x 14", of the Captain at the wheel and on deck, inscribed and signed but his granddaughter Janet M. Anderson, dated 1995, light creasing and soiling, edge tears, one corner repaired. 4) and 5) signed and limited lithograph by Janet M. Anderson of the S.S. Columbia, 1977, oblong 14 x 18", creasing and edge tears plus a card also by Anderson showing the same image and signed, 4.5 x 6", dated 1982, inside is an undated invitation to attend the grand reopening on Boblo Island. 6) A recent color snapshot, 3.5 x 5", of one of the Boblo boats. 7) Color postcard of the S.S. Columbia, Photogelatine Engraving Co. Ltd. Toronto, nd (1930s?), postally unused, light wear. 8)"Continuous Discharge Book", 6.5 x 4.5", printed green boards, cover worn/stained, contents good. Contains his photo, address, thumbprint, earliest date is May 1, 1937 where he served as the master of the Ste. Claire (Boblo boat), at the back is his "Certificate Of Efficiency To Lifeboat Man", embossed seal, with his photo and signature, laid in loose is his social security card. A fantastic collection, a total of eight items, sold as a lot only. NOT part of this collection is a ship's bell which we acquired when we purchased this grouping. We do not know what ship this bell came from, there was no information included. The bell is for sale, being sold SEPERATELY from the above grouping.
