Both Sndyer and Checker were located in Detroit's Corktown Neighborhood: Snyder at 1533 Howard and Checker a few blocks away at 2128 Trumbull Avenue. On the back is an extract from a city ordinance, Sec. 17 Suspension And Revocation. A driver's license could be suspended or revoked if he "engaged in immoral or illegal business with said taxicab".
