Two brief mentions of black boxer Harry Wills' upcoming bout with Jack Dempsey in Articles on Dempsey in "The Ring" Volume 4 Number 10 November 1925

In an article on Gunboat Smith and Jack Dempsey, the writer says "I doubt if Harry Wills could take his measure", sports columnist Tad opines "It will be interesting to see how Jack will fare with Harry Wills". Plus, there is a photo of Wills and his wife returning from a European tour and is described as "Dempsey's nemesis". Wills and Dempsey signed an agreement in July 1925 for a 1926 fight. It never took place, some feeling that Dempsey's statement that he wouldn't fight black boxers after winning the title. Photos of up-and-coming black boxers Kid Brown and James Battles. On the first page is a photo of "Colored pugilistic celebrities in training at Professor Jimmy Kelly's camp at New Dorp, Staten Island" showing boxers Al Herford, Joe Gans and George Dixon.
