The White Sox beat the New York Giants four games to two. In two years, The White Sox would be defeated by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1919 World Series five games to three. Later it was alleged that eight of the "Black Sox"/White Sox threw that World Series. There is an article by one of the conspirators, Eddie Cicotte entitled "The Shine Ball And Other Things". Needless to say, other members of that infamous group show up throughout the magazine. Included is an article on the Sox's owner, Charles Comiskey by Umpire Billy Evans "Comiskey, The Prince Of All Magnates". Comiskey is on the cover. SCARCE.
