16/17 illus., 7 x 4.5", full leather, spine gilt ruled, spine labels, 400pp. Covers worn and rubbed, wear along sides of spine, inner hinges cracked, genealogy notes and ink name stamps on ffeps, lacks rear free endpaper, contents have soiling, foxing, creasing, ink stains, edge tears, lacks "Ancient Sepulchre" plate else good, binding tight. The genealogy notes are from the Ashbel F. Bedford family of Ionia, Michigan, Bedford's grandson, Albert Griffing Bedford, was a well known Detroit realtor. Some of the book's offerings: "Edystone Light-house" (in Plymouth Sound), "Prints Of Human Feet In Rocks", "Great Fall Of Fall River" (Mass.), the Rochester Aqueduct; Dr. Samuel Johnson; African animals, owls, bees, poetry etc.
