np (Chicago), nd (1929/30?). Paperback. Very Good. Item #21-4912
Oblong 12 x 14", black and white, not examined out of frame, but appears to be very nice, framed in wooden, decorative frame; on the reverse is a sticker that reads "This picture of 'Hack' Wilson (center) was given to me after Hack died in the 1940s- Ken Willis" (This would have been his second wife, Hazel). Although not identified, the players flanking him are Rogers Hornsby and Kiki Cuyler, three fourths of the 1929/1930 "Murderer's Row" (fourth member Riggs Stephenson, not pictured). They are posing with their bats on a grassy field, mountain in the distance- spring training? All three would be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Wilson died in 1948.
