60/60 chromolithographs with tissue guards, by F.W. Frohawke, 11 x 7.5", red boards, red cloth spine, teg, 317pp. Covers poor (very well worn, spine splitting, extremity wear), inner hinges and textblock cracked, loose signatures, endpapers toned, light soiling, a few small edge tears, light pencil scribble on a tissue guard. Chromolithographs are bright and sharp, two of them do not have "plate facing"; "Bengalese" (opp. p212) and "Spice Finch" (opp. p222). The chapter "The Weavers" is listed as having a plate opp. but it wasn't issued that way and "Yellow-Shouldered Weaver" is listed as opposite p283, it is opposite p282. Sold as is. Second edition.
