Bliss, 9.25 x 6.5", 180pp. Covers have light wear, spine has a couple of snaps, corners and spine tips bumped and worn, initials "M.H.S." embossed on front pastedown, contents good to very good condition. Enclosed is a flyer (8.5 x 11", edge tears) from the "Rededication of Michigan Monuments" held at Gettysburg on July 1, 1963. Ink pencil and notes from the grandchild of James Purdue of Plymouth, Michigan. He enlisted on September 13, 1861 and mustered out on July 8, 1865, achieving the final rank of captain on July 7, 1865. The Sixteenth was organized at Detroit. Original copy of the 16th Michigan Infantry "Brown Book"
