21 x 17", blue cloth, red cloth spine, paper label on front cover, unpaginated (.25" thick), printed one side. Covers stained and spotted, corners worn, spine splitting, pages removed at front (4?), contents have light waterstaining, smudging, soiling else good, binding tight. Pages are not filled in, all are blank. Requisition categories include engine fittings, oils and paints, tools, boiler fittings, medical stories. Liverpool Printing has their info on a label inside the front cover which also lists the September 24, 1945 date. At that time the Queen Mary was in use as a troop ship, she left Southampton on September 23rd and landed in New York on September 28th. She carried 14,938 troops, 161 passengers and 834 crew. The Queen Mary and her sister ship, the Queen Elizabeth were specially chosen as troop carriers due to their ability to travel fast. This allowed them to outrun hazards, principally German U-boats, and usually not needing the protection of a convoy. SCARCE.
