"Embellished with engravings"; folding street map of Boston, 6 x 3.5", full straight-grained morocco, 304pp with index, cover rubbed, extremities worn and chipping, outer hinges badly cracking, spine creased with old chip repair at top, front inner hinge cracked, bold ink inscriptions from former owners ("Georgiana Jack, given to my husband when he visited Boston by Mr. Lawrence Jany 1st 1842" and "now the Honorable Abbot Lawrence who has since visited Lord Morpeth in England"), pp still usable, folding map browned and spotted but remarkably intact; a rather fragile piece (due to the poor front cover hinge) else a nicely preserved piece, with the inscription mentioning Abbott Lawrence, business man and prominent Whig politician.
