Government (class) thesis bound in stiff brown wraps, 11.5 x 9", 98pp + bibliography, typed on one side only. Covers have light scratches and wear else good. Comes with two pasted in portraits of Curley, both hand dated by the writer: slightly glossy print showing him as mayor and dated 1946 and an original engraving dated 1916. There are occasional notations from the instructor as well plus a one page "Comments On Thesis" and a handwritten note on lined paper. From the introduction "There has been much speculation as to why and how James Michael Curley was elected mayor of Boston in 1945...I shall, therefore, attempt to explain the real reasons..." James Michael Curley, 1874-1958, was a democratic member of the Massachusetts House Of Representatives, the U.S. House of Representatives, Massachusetts governor and mayor of Boston.
