Two cent postcard, oblong 3.25 x 5.5", front cover with pre-printed stamp, postmark, address written by Ezra Pound; reverse with written message from Pound, INITIALED "Ez P." BY EZRA POUND. Pound writes to a Corporal in the US Army at Fort Benning, GA, answering two questions on reverse: "1. Yes, w'd please me" and "2. I don't know where else G.H. can get any Provencal." Pound adds the date on the reverse: "5 Jan" (postmarked January 6th). At that time, Pound was living in the Chestnut Ward of St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, DC.
