Illus., 11 x 8", green cloth, pict paper glued on front and back, black lettering on spine, pictorial endpapers, 298pp. Covers worn and creased, extremities very worn, paper on covers soiled, chipped and missing pieces, loose signature, scattered foxing, light wrinkling/light staining on margins, lacks page 267/268 else good. The front endpapers show the exterior of Garstin's buildings, inside at the front there are photos of various showrooms ie. dog equipment, bag and case room, purse room. Items for sale include hat cases, collar boxes, writing cases, military hair brushes, ladies' dressing cases, Portsea purses, watch wristlets. For dog lovers: dog collars for various breeds, leaders, chains, padlocks for collars, brushes, coats, kennells, baskets. The covers are still quite attractive in spite of the wear. The front, in addition to the lettering, shows a steamship and a train and luggage, the rear has an image of "Granitefibre" which was used as a trunk foundation. Cover images are in color which is still bright. Garstin catalogues are extremely SCARCE, items from the catalogues show up occasionally like their "Garstin's Tonic Dog Soap" tin which sold at auction a few years back.
