"BASIN STREET BLUES" and "SUGAR BLUES"

Vogue The Picture Records, A Tom Saffady Product, Sav-Way Industries, Detroit 13, Michigan, nd (April 1946-April 1947). Hardcover. Very Good. Item #21-1222

10", 78rpm. Small scratches at the hole, light soiling else good. Comes with a torn and soiled sleeve. We have not played the record so we cannot guarantee the sound quality. There are colorful images on both sides. Shown on "Basin Street Blues" is a street scene with an African American man and woman dressed for a night on the town, the street leads to the docks where two African American children are playing and an African American man is seated on a bale of hay playing the guitar, a steamboat in the background. "Sugar Blues" has an image of McCoy playing a trumpet. The "Beale Street" side is especially attractive, if not played, it would look great framed. These records were only made between April 1946 and April 1947. Again, we have not played it so it is sold as is.

Price: $45.00
