Ledger 17 x 13.5", black boards, leather spine and corners, 136 hand numbered double pages entries and "recap" and certification, 4 pages each. Approximately 50 blank pages. Disbound, lacks front cover and pages up to and including half of page one, textblock cracked and in two pieces, staining, tears, soiling, loose pages, rear cover detached. Lists the property description (usually by lots/measurements but a handful indicate personal cottages.) The largest landowner by far is Consumers Power, a distant second would be George, Edward and Henry Loud (lumber) with Loud, Gay and Co. Other businesses include Oscoda Boom Co., Twining Oil, Iosco Land Co., Douglass Lake Land Co., D&M Railway, A&P, Oscoda State Savings Bank. Also included: Pine Lake Outing Club, Oscoda Lodge, estates ie. Rix, Chevrieu and well known local names John Bisonette, Lloyd McCuaig, William McCuaig. At the rear is the "recap" and the legal certification by the Board of Supervisors. In 1934, $49,715.00 had been added to the valuation of taxable property making the grand total, including real and personal, $2,325.00 taxable value. Sold as is. SCARCE.
