Three Original Unsigned Pieces of Advertising Art: Santa in front of an Opened Philco Refrigerator, an Ad for "Sno-Man Potato Whip" along with a Pencil Sketch for it, a Two-Page Typed Program from the Office of The Advertising Director for Admiral Radio C

np nd (typed copy "Santa" is done in pastels (mainly green, reds and browns with white and red lettering) and is an oblong 8 x 18;" "Sno-Man" has black lettering on a cream background and is 25 x 19"; pencil sketch, typed program and assembly instructions are all 8.5 x 11. The Santa ad is on very thin paper and has small edge tears and pinholes; "Sno-Man" has creasing and toning, pencil sketch is creased and has a couple of small tears; program and instructions have creasing and tears. The Santa ad shows Santa standing in front of an open Philco refrigerator and eating a chicken leg while a little girl peers around a corner at him, above it reads "She Knew Where to Find Him . . . Philco Refrigerators." "Try the New Sno-Man for Quick Frozen, Hot 'n Tasty Potatoe (sic) Whip Just Add Milk 25 cents at Your Dealers" and shows an illustr of a snowman on the potatoe (sic) whip box. The pencil sketch is identical except that it spells potato correctly. The program, an "Advertising Presentation Program" to be held at the Hotel Commodore Ball Room with the talk being given by Mr. Randall, advertising director and K.G. Wilkburn, NW Ayer account executive. It indicates that at 10 o'clock EST, radio and television broadcast of the Admiral Hour will be from the ballroom stage of the Commodore Hotel. Both the typed copy and the assembly isntructions have that name of "Jim Fleck, BA 253 Kingsbury" written on them. An interesting collection. Sold as a lot only.
