Letterhead, order form and envelope from Dr. Chase's Steam Printing House, Ann Arbor, Michigan and addressed to Gideon G. Gillinghast of Connecticut and New Hampshire

Courier Steam Printing House/Dr. Chase's Steam Printing House: Ann Arbor 1870 Stationary 10 x 8", lined with red and blue lettering, fold creases, light soiling; order form oblong 5 x 8.5", lined, red, black, and green lettering, fold creases, small stain, light soiling; both sheets very good. Envelope oblong 3.25 x 5.75", gold colored, lithograph by J.W. Orr of the printing house on the front, blue 3 cent stamp, postally used, soiled, edge tears, removal marks, worn. In the letter, dated Feb. 22 1870, the new owner of the printing house, R.A. Beal (Dr. Chase retired in 1869 and sold the business to Beal) writes to Mr. Tillinghast about when he shipped books to him and if Mr. Tillinghast would let him know when the shipment arrives. Order form dated June 14, 1870 is for "400 English Cloth" and receipt of payment is noted and addressed to G.G. Tillinghast of South Newmarket, N.H. Envelope is sent to Gideon G. Tillinghast in Dewitt? City, Conn. Nice collection, sold as a group.
