Privately Printed: Detroit 1913 Photo frontis portrait of author, 9.5 x 6.5", half vellum; gilt-lettered boards, 54pp, covers rubbed and soiled, extremities worn, hinges loose, EX-LIBRARY with usual markings, pp edge-toned but still a decent copy of this SCARCE title. LIMITED TO 100 NUMBERED COPIES PRINTED AT THE DEVINNE PRESS. ALSO INSCRIBED "To Mr. George E. Miller, Recalling our pleasant acquaintance during the summer and fall of 1898" AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, FRANK J. HECKER. Hecker was a railroad car manufacturer in Detroit, Civil War veteran, and member of the Panama Canal Commission. His mansion still stands on Woodward Ave.
