American Bank Note Company: New York 1920 7.5 x 3.5" and opens up to 7.5 x 14", green on a cream background. Staining, wrinkling, pencil numbers, lacks coupons 1-38, coupons 39-77 present. The Republic of Poland raised close to $50 million from the sale of these bonds. The main reason for issuing these bonds was to fund the continuing war against the Soviets. Poland had not totally recovered from WW1 so it had to look beyond its borders ie. the United States' Polish population.
