The Century Co: NY 1896 7.75 x 5", gilt-dec and gilt-lettered blue cloth, 212pp, covers rubbed, extremities bumped and fraying, hinges loose, pp toned with some light staining to bottom edges of some pp, else a decent copy of this fairly controversial book: "At Saint Judas's" may well be the first American play to have a gay theme! INSCRIBED "For Rudolph Altrocchi and Julia Cooley,- a slight gift on a great occasion..." AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, HENRY B. FULLLER, Chicago, August 25, 1920...possibly the date of Altrocchi's marriage to Julia Cooley, who would go on to become a children's book writer of some note. SCARCE signature of such a famous author in his time. Fuller has also written a quote from the book above his inscription.
