Group of eleven photographs and postcards relating to the Ives family in Delta, Colorado circa 1903-1907

Delta 1903-1907 Photos and postcards 2 x 1.5" to 3.5 x 5.5". Six photos: Older man: "D.L. Ives, Delta, Colorado", cabinet card of two women: "Miss Mabel Ives, Delta, Delta Co., Col., Margie my cousin and I", unlabeled photo of a young couple, probably Mabel and her (future) husband, Perry Vaughan, casual outdoor pose of a young man and his parents, "Perry Vaughan Father, Mother Home in Colo. On Payne's Mesa", unidentified but looks to be Perry's mother inside the house, the interior of a machine shop, also unidentified. One postcard: "A few Peaches, Delta, Colo., D3091, Williamson Haffner Co." postally unused but with a one cent stamp. Four real photo postcards: 2 unidentified- one shows D.L. Ives sitting in a horse drawn wagon with other family members, second shows family group in a surrey, Ives appears to be inside. Two postally used- one addressed to Mrs. Mabel Vaughan, postmarked Hotchkiss, Col. 1907, image is of a seated man and his dog, sender's message "These are your long lost brothers. Charlie" and postmarked and dated 1908. Again to Mabel, addressed to "Dear Sis", mentions brother Charles and the poor quality of the photo on the postcard, on the front is shown a group of people standing on snow covered logs, note on the front: "Was taken after a dance. Looks it don't u think?" Photos have some creasing and or tears, and light soiling, fading, cabinet card has worn corners, light soiling to postcards. From research it appears the D.L. Ives was Mabel's father and that her brother Charlie was a cowboy. A group of eleven items, sold as a lot only. Early Colorado history. Nol
