Six real photo postcards of Chamberlain, South Dakota: "Main Street North", "Main Street South", "Chamberlain From the air", "Missouri River Hills", "Missouri Valley", "Overlooking Chamberlain"

L.L Cook published four cards, Fuller's Drug Store published one ("From the air") and one with no publisher listed ("Main Street (1937-1943) Fuller's has a copyright of 1937 but all of these postcards came from a larger lot from a couple travelling in the Western states in 1943. 3.5 x 5.5". Postally unused, ink not on the back of "Overlooking", very light wear, soiling, and creasing, very good. Both of the Main Street postcards show a bustling downtown area with businesses such as Neil Fuller's Drugs and The Derby Café. In the image for "Overlooking" there is a roadside sign for Miller & Son Motor Co. and beyond it is the bridge. Written on the back of the card: "Hi Folks! Arrived safely and all ready to paint the town red on our first week's anniversary. A thimble full of paint's all we need. Missed you at the wedding! Vera and Dick." Sold as a lot.
