Correspondence between Maria Gay Zenatello, Nino Martini and Frances Greer

NY 1941-1943 Includes two Western Union telegrams (one from Maria Zenatello, one from Mrs. Roscoe Clark, Pres. of the Beethoven Club), three TLSs from Maria Gay or Zenatello on her 50 Central Park West letterhead (Jan-Feb 1942) two ALS from Maria on her 50 Central Park West letterhead (Nov 1942), one short TLS from Maria on plain paper (March 1942), three ALS on Zenatello note cards from Maria (Mar and Nov 1942, Feb 1943), one TLS from Nino Zenatello (June 1943), and one ALS from Nino on a Zenatello card regarding his mother's death (August 1943). Frances Greer was a soprano who joined the Metropolitan Opera in 1942 (the correspondence above is regarding singing dates); Maria Gay was a Catalan opera singer and wife (common-law?) of tenor Giovanni Zenatello; she died on July 20, 1943. Nino was perhaps Nino Martini, a protégé of Zenatello. Great content and history.
