Holiday card "This is to express our appreciation of your co-operation and to extend to you our sincere wishes for a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. King Motor Car Company Detroit, Mich. U.S.A."

Detroit nd Oblong 4.5 x 7", cream card stock, black lettering, orange bordered with orange King logo. Soiling, edge tears, light creasing else good. The King Motor Car Company was founded in Detroit in March of 1911 with Charles Brady King as Vice President, by the end of the year the company was sold to Artemus Ward and King left in 1915. The business survived the war but by 1921 Ward and five company directors requested dissolution due to lack of money and no lenders. The company assets and debts were sold to a Buffalo businessman who moved the King Motor car company to Buffalo in 1923, the company went bankrupt the following year and the last of the stock was sold in England in 1925. SCARCE ephemera.
