Front cover has large illus. of a woman playing baseball ("...but they could not bat far from the plate..."), stories inside on sensational crimes, illustrations of pretty stage actresses and dramatic scenes, dog kills little girl, man shoots his sweetheart in New Jersey, horseracing and boxing, etc. Great example of Victorian US tabloid journalism.
