Paperweight with Silver Colored Medal on black marble "Manufacturers Bank Building 411 West Lafayette Dedicated 1971" with image of building which was designed by Louis G. Redstone Associates.

Detroit 1971 Medal 1.5", marble 2.5 x 2.5 x .75" with black felt on bottom. Medal very good, marble has light rubbing and chipping else very good. Designed by Louis G. Redstone & Associates. The building has 20 stone panels on three exterior walls which were the creation of sculptor Robert Youngman and represent Detroit's lead in industrial design and production. In 1992, Manufacturers Bank merged with Comerica Bank who now owns this structure. COMES WITH: "PROMISES KEPT. The Story of Comerica, 1849-1999." (Comerica Incorporated: Detroit) 1999. Illustr, 9 x 10, green wraps, white lettering, 120 pp. Covers have light wear and scratches, ink # inside front cover else very good. First edition. Book is a nice banking history including Manufacturers' history and a photo of 411 W. Lafayette, lots of nice early Detroit photos. Sold as a pair.
