Souvenir from Bob-Lo Island: Small metal horseshoe which has a shield in the center with stamped image of Bob-Lo's dance pavilion an the words "Dance Pavilion. 'Bob-Lo' Canada."

K&O (Kronheimer & Oldenbusch): Brooklyn nd (1913?) 2.5 x 2, silver colored metal, nicks, scratches, small abrasions else good. Bob-Lo Island, 1898-1993, was a popular destination for the Detroit & Windsor area. The original dance pavilion was deemed too small to handle the island's growing popularity so a new one was built in 1913. It was rumored that Henry Ford, who loved to dance, had financed it. When it was completed it was the second largest dance pavilion in the world with a capacity of 5000. Scarce.
