Lansing nd (1972) 14 x 22, lightly creased, corners lightly bumped, front lightly toned, back is sunned and has a pencil note "Mich. 1972" else very good. Cream background, red and blue lettering, clown mascot in upper left corner, photo images of "Midget" Billy Vaughn and Miss Nancy Miller Lady Umpire. This team had a long history even before they joined the Negro American League in 1943 under the name of the Cincinnati Clowns eventually changing their name in 1946 to the Indianapolis Clowns. Between 1950-1954, they won four Negro American League championships. In 1955, they left the league to do barnstorming full time which they did until 1989, their final season. Scarce original Indianapolis Clowns memorabilia.
