Nicols, Charles A. (ed).

THE COMMITTEE OF FIFTY, Reports of Investigations of the Street Railways of the City of Detroit.

The City of Detroit: Detroit, MI nd (c 1909) Charts and graphs (including folding), 9.5 x 6.25, rebound in green library buckram, 121 pp + index, covers lightly rubbed, hinges loose, pp soiled and used, some pencil notes, ex-lib (The Detroit News) with usual internal markings, but still a fascinating piece. The Committee of Fifty (including Russell A. Alger, Henry Ford, etc.) was to compare and contrast various other street railway systems around the country. The various systems had just united in 1900 to form the Detroit United Railway. Scarce.
