Shapiro: NY 1908 13.5 x 10.5, pict wraps, (6) pp. Split and held together with two small stickers, soiling, creasing, edge tears, pencil name else good. Cover has b&w photo of interior of a circus tent with an acrobat performing above the center ring. The play "Polly of the Circus" was written by Margaret Mayo and starred Mabel Taliaferro, then wife of Frederic Thompson. It opened on December 23, 1908 at Broadway's Liberty Theatre and closed in May 1909. Later, it was made into a 1932 film starring Clark Gable and Marion Davies. Scarce.
