Theatre Program from the Boston Museum for "Monday, May 29, 1889, And Until Further Notice! The Best Play Known to the Modern Stage. 'Little Lord Fauntleroy.' " [Boston Museum and Gallery of Fine Arts].

Boston 1889 Illustr, 12.5 x 9.5, 4 pp. Light toning, creasing, small horizontal tear on spine, a few edge tears else good/very good. The program lists the acts of the production and the dramatis personae on the first page. The remaining three pages are some really nice ads. A sampling: "Now Open 541 Tremont St. Custer's Last Fight," Roederer Champagne, Jordan, Marsh & Co, JT Smith & Co Carriages, Springer Bros, Hastings, the Photographer. The Boston Museum was also known as the Boston Museum and Gallery of Fine Arts; it was not only a theatre but a combination zoo, natural history museum, wax museum and art museum. Stage performers included the Booth family: Junius Brutus, Edwin and John Wilkes. Some of the stars of "Fauntleroy" were Henry M. Itts, C. Leslie Allen, Alice Pierce. The Theatre was "Lighted by Electricity Under The Edison Incandescent System." Scarce ephemera.
