np (Detroit) nd (late 1930s) Frame is 25 x 12, black painted wood, glass, cream mat, photos are b&w, 9 x 7.5, cardboard backing. Frame is chippped and scratched, glass intact, mat and backing are waterstained/darkened, small stain on photo else good. Not examined out of frame. Photos show before & after views of the warehouse, the "after" showing a professionally cleaned exterior. The words before and after and the name of the business "R.A. Epsteine Warehouse" are hand lettered on the mat. The warehouse faces 14th Street and has several late 1930s automobiles parked in front. There is a street sign on the corner -- "14th" and "Porter." Porter Street going east alongside the building forms a bridge over the Michigan Central Railroad tracks. Although the name "Detroit" does not appear on the item, the property, minus the building, is about a mile or so from our bookstore.
