Printing Co: Detroit 1905 Illustr, folding map, 8x5.5, dark green cloth, gilt lettering on front cover, 44 pp. Ex-lib, front inner hinge starting, text block cracked, loose signatures, off-setting, light soiling and spotting, map torn else good. Ink inscription on free front endpaper: "Minnie B. Anderson. This book given to me by my uncle, Lewis M. Newell, who served this country in the regiment. May 30-1905." Lewis M. Newell enlisted in Company L, Tenth Cavalry as a farrier September 14, 1863, at Rose, Michigan, at the age of 29. He was discharged at Detroit on November 21, 1865. A very scarce title.
