JE Hayes: St. Paul 1905 Illustr, 8 x 5.5, dark blue cloth with gilt lettering, front cover illustr, top edge gilt. Covers rubbed, light soiling, faint damp marking on covers/spine, corners and spine tips bumped and worn, small hole on spine, ink name and date "Inez M Rowell, Bot Canyon Hotel, June 25, 1920" with offsetting from it on free front endpaper which is also creased, contents good. N.P. Langford was part of the Washburn Expedition which studies northwestern Montana exploring lakes, observing the wildlife, hiking over mountains, making maps, etc. This area was to become Yellowstone National Park and Langford would be its first superintendent. FIRST EDITION.
