Six issues of "The Student," 1913-1914, a monthly publication by the students of Detroit Central High School.

Detroit Central HS: Detroit. 1913: Dec. and Illustr, 9.25 x 6.25, pict stapled wraps, varies between 48 and 50 pages + ads. Covers have staining, spotting, soiling, edge tears, Nov. 1914 spine is torn at top, rusty staples, contents have toning, smudging, soiling and occasional staining, Dec 1913 has pages 21-28 detached else overall good. Last names of some of the students bear names of downtown Detroit businesses: Boydell, Calvert Grinnell, Finsterwald, Himmelhoch. Some of the ads: Detroit Conservatory of Music, Heyn's Bazaar, Hughes & Hatcher, TB Rayl, Sanders, Wright Kay. Detroit Center High School during this time period was located on Cass, the building is now called "Old Main" and is part of Wayne State University. Covers are nicely illustrated. Sold as a lot.
