Comes with: "Michigan Academy of Science, Arts and Letters Guide Book for Eleventh Annual Geological Excursion to St. Ignace and Mackinac Island." Published by Geological Survey Division Department of Conservation. May 30, 31, June 1, 1941. (George M. Stanley was part of the Committee for this excursion.) Illustr, 11 x 8.5, pict stapled wraps, (23 pp). Covers creased, soiled, torn, ink name, contents good. Ink name is that of Otto Lang, one of the managers of the Arnold Transit Company which ferried passengers to Mackinac Island from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace. Included is a typed letter signed from the president of the Zenith Radio Corp. (E.F.McDonald, Jr.) to Lang and a copy of a typed letter that Lang sent him, both regarding the discovery of an abandoned beach North of Killarney. Plus a copy of a typed note with information on Ken Slater who was ". . . the originator of the Upper Peninsula Tourist Guide Map." Sold as a lot.
