Two stories by Paul MacDonald: "BABE RUTH'S RISE AS A STAR AMONG STARS. Baseball's Brightest Lights Reached Their Position through Accident" and "THE THRILL AROUND THE CORNER" in The Dearborn Independent, January 3 and October 10, 1925.

The Dearborn Publishing Co: Dearborn Illustr, printed stapled wraps, Jan. 3: 16 x 10.5, 8 (of 16)pp. October 10: 12 x 8.5, 32 pp. The January issue is defective, hole on the page of the baseball story affects part of two paragraphs, issue sold as is; the October issue has crease and soiled covers with small tears, rusty staples and name stamp, centerfold loose, contents have light creasing, a few small tears, stains from the rusty staples else good. The January article, one page, mentions Babe Ruth, Harry Heilmann, Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker among others who succeeded "by accident." The other article is 4 pp and deals with various sports/players, i.e., boxing/Dempsey, golf/ Jones, tennis /Lenglen, approximately 1/4 features baseball with players such as Ruth, Cobb, Speaker.
