TYPED LETTER SIGNED, May 27, 1927, to the "Arigcultural" [sic] School at the Tuskegee Institute Regarding Rubber Production Research.

Orange, NJ 1927 One page, 11 x 8.5, on Edison's Orange, NJ letterhead, folds, toning, darkened, one shallow chip from top edge, one bottom corner folded, ink "6" on reverse, and LAMINATED. Edison writes that he is investigating producing rubber in the U.S. from ". . . vines, plants, bushes, etc.", and wishes to know if there would be any ". . . Enthusiastic young botanists" there at Tuskegee who would work through the summer on this project. Nice George Washington Carver association. But, unfortunately, laminated. Still, a nice looking piece BOLDLY SIGNED (UMBRELLA SIGNATURE) BY THOS. A. EDISON.
