Two R.W. Julian "Satirical Medals": "A Litany of Disaster" from 1980 and "Justice in America" from 1981. Commissioned by R. W. Julian, designed by Warner Williams and cast in bronze by the Medallic Art Co.

2.5" in diamter. "Litany of Disaster" has light wear else very good, "Justice in America" has light wear, rubbing and scratches else very good. "A Litany" shows Gen. Douglas MacArthur on one side with these words: "There is No Substitute for Victory" and on the reverse is a barechested blindfolded man with top hat holding a rifle and these words surround him: "China Korea Cuba Vietnam Cambodia Angola Nicaragua Iran." "Justice" features George Washington on one side with this phrase: "The Laws Shall Be Faithfully Executed" and on the reverse the image of "Justice Is Blind" with these surrounding words: "The Criminal Is Set Free While the Victim Is Forgotten." These medals are part of a series of five medals that R.W. Julian commissioned and he wrote this about the series: "The satirical medals were intended as a permanent memorial to those issues that ought not to be forgotten." Sold as a pair only.
