Harper & Bros: NY 1863 Frontis, diagrams, 6 x 4, blindstamped brown cloth, gilt decoration on front cover, gilt lettering on spine, 124 pp. Covers fair (warped, stained, spine peeling, etc.), name stamp on front pastedown, staining, lacks lower corners of first two pages, loose signature, some soiling and spotting else good. Name stamp reads "Lt. O.W. Kent Co. B. 6 ME. Inf." The Sixth Maine Infantry was active July 15, 1861 to August 15, 1864. The unit saw heavy service participating in the battles of Williamsburg, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg, Wilderness and Spotsylvania just to name a few, they suffered a total loss of 255 men. Sold as is. Scarce.
