Detroit 1951 Oblong, 32 x 58, linen, light blue background, cream colored circle sewn onto both sides, printed on the circle "Detroit 250th Birthday Festival 1701 1951. Lettering is yellow on red at the top and blue againt the cream background, cream band along the edge with two brass grommets. With an eagle above a shield which contains white stars on a blue background at the top, yellow lion on a red background in the center and a white fleur-de-lis on a light blue background. The two blue corners are torn and frayed, light spotting, creasing else good/very good. The illustr in the shield represent the three countries who ruled Detroit: the fleur-de-lis for France (1701), the lion for England (1760) and the stars for the U.S. (1783).
