np (Washington D.C.) nd (c 1898) Folding plates showing diagrams of collision, 9 x 6, blue cloth, vp, covers worn and darkened, some pp toned, hinges loose, extremities bumped and fraying, plates nice and colorful, an interesting saga involving (of course) who is at fault and who pays the insurance claim. Handled by Detroit's F.H. Canfield, whose name is stamped in gilt at bottom of spine. Admiralty law.
