Various publishers. c. 1924-1935 Includes: THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, by Kenneth Grahame; Scribner's 1929, with ink inscription: "Delphine and Horace, Dear love, Daddy & Mimi, Xmas 1930"; THE HOUSE OF SEVEN GABLES by Nathaniel Hawthorne; Houghton Mifflin (1932), signed by Horace Dodge three times; A LITTLE PRINCESS by Frances Hodgson Burnett; Scribner's 1931; and GRITL'S CHILDREN by Johanna Spryi; Lippincott (1924) each with "Delphine Dodge" written in ink at top of front fep; and NEW FRENCH REVIEW GRAMMAR by Arthur Gibbon Bovee; Heath (1935) signed by Horace Dodge with his (?) ink notes. All books worn but still serviceable. Horace III (b. 1923) and Delphine (b. 1922) were the children of Horace Jr. and his wife Lois (divorced in 1927); Horace Jr remarried in 1928, divorced in 1938, and remarried in 1940.
